Again, it\u2019s going to depend on your personal goals as a freelancer.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what to consider.<\/p>\n<h3>Pros<\/h3>\n<p>Here are some of the top pros I think are worth paying attention to if you\u2019re considering a co-op:<\/p>\n<h4>Shared stability<\/h4>\n<p>If one person has a slow month or drops off a project, the co\u2011op may help buffer that loss. For instance, they may offer pooled income or cross\u2011cover for urgent deadlines.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the \u201csomeone else has your back\u201d effect.<\/p>\n<h4>Shared back\u2011office functions<\/h4>\n<p>Some co-ops provide assistance with legal, financial, tax, bookkeeping, contract, marketing, sales, and client referral services.
