The Managing Editor will assume day-to-day editorial and marketing responsibilities for The Unwinder, with the goals of creating extremely high-quality articles and building site readership.

You’re someone who is a writer first, but with a good mind for the marketing inherent in online publishing. At first, you’ll write several major feature articles per month yourself, with high-level guidance from our EIC. You’ll also manage freelance writers for specific assignments. Our successful contributors are writers who have an understanding of the health space, and most importantly an investigator's instinct for delving deep into the science behind these products. Success in this role requires that alongside a big-picture view of long-term brand, business, and our relationship with our readers.

In addition to features and smaller pieces, you’ll also handle media relations / media outreach, and social media, to get our articles out there. This includes a freer space to explore ideas and engage with the community of smart wellness-interested individuals.

This is a contractor position with collaboration by Slack, Zoom, email, and phone. The position is part-time and ongoing, with the opportunity to grow, including performance bonuses.
