Working with other members of the Product Development team and contributors from IIBA’s global community, the Digital Content Creator develops compelling and high value content to be published, packaged and deployed in a digital format in support of IIBA’s strategic efforts to serve and engage members, support new membership growth, and advance the business analysis profession globally.
This person will partner closely with IIBA’s internal teams and members in the business analysis community to create content related to the business analysis space. Our audience are individual business analysis practitioners as well as corporate, academic and education providers related to the business analysis profession. Proven writing, and editing abilities are key, as is a knack for distilling business analysis concepts for an audience of business professionals. This person will need to build internal relationships with multiple stakeholders to tell compelling stories about our work.
Develop compelling content, on-brand and on-deadline, for a wide range of digital, print and social channels. This involves generating (researching and writing) original content as well as curating and editing content from others (practitioners, members, staff) and shaping and redeveloping existing content for multiple channels.
Develop content from concept to final draft.
Cultivate relationships with in-house subject matter experts (content hubs) and business analysis practitioners and thought leaders for content knowledge, ideas and sources.
Adapt content (long and short form) as appropriate to audience and channel: digital, social, print, and new/emerging, including:
Blog posts and social
White papers and reports
Other areas as assigned
Create digital experience deliverables from long-form, expert-written content aligned with IIBA’s digital strategies and tools.
Brainstorm, strategize with product and other internal team members (i.e. marketing, membership) o conceptualize how content can be packaged, integrated and distributed in other channels (including, but not limited to, available print, digital, and social platforms) and write/edit material suitable for those channels.
Stay informed of news and trends related to business analysis education by reading publications, attending conferences as designated by supervisor and communicating directly with IIBA staff and members, and business analysis practitioners, and thought leaders.
Identify writers and expert practitioners at all levels of the business analysis profession and recruit them as authors and sources.
Work collaboratively and creatively across all portfolios within IIBA.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in multi-channel delivery of practical and applied business content
Degree or diploma in English, journalism, communications/media studies, marketing, education, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
Working understanding of content curation tools, community collaboration tools, digital content platforms and effective digital publishing practices.
Excellent editorial judgment and instincts, strong English language communication skills
Ability to write clearly and concisely for business users
Ability to synthesize deep content, collate and publish relevant and meaningful data and research
Strong project management and organization skills

Proficient in Office365 applications
Experience with business analysis fundamentals and an IIBA certification or willingness to complete
Experience working within the global Not-For-Profit sector and specifically a business-oriented membership-driven organization is an asset
Experience writing and editing business content for a publishing or academic media outlet, serving an audience in a business space is an asset
Ability to work successfully in a virtual work environment; demonstrated remote work experience is ideal
